First wicket on DRS
After a long wait, R Ashwin gave Team India the first
success. Ashwin took the wicket of Will Young (89) in the first ball of the
67th over. Young was trying to go after Bharat on Ashwin's low ball, but the
ball took the edge of his bat and reached KS Bharat's gloves. Team India
appealed, but the umpire did not give out the Kiwi opener. After this, a review
was taken at the behest of wicketkeeper KS Bharat and Ashwin also looked very
confident for the wicket. It was clearly visible in the replays that the ball
had gone into Bharat's gloves, taking a slight edge of Young's bat.
Young-Latham set a record
Will Young and Tom Latham added 151 runs for the first
wicket. This was the second best performance of New Zealand's opening pair on
Indian soil. Also, this is the first century partnership of any visiting team
opening pair in India since December 2016. Earlier in the Chennai Test,
Alastair Cook and Keaton Jennings had added 103 runs in England's second
innings.
Will Young completed his 5500 runs in first class cricket.
Will Young (89) ,this is his best score in Test cricket.
This was the first victim in international cricket of KS
Bharat, who caught Will's catch.
This is Tom Latham's 21st and sixth half-century against
India.

Saha is not
fit
On the third day, KS Bharat appeared as a wicketkeeper
instead of Wriddhiman Saha. BCCI tweeted and said – Wriddhiman Saha has a stiff
neck and is being treated by the medical team. KS Bharat will do the wicket
keeping in his absence.
On the third day, the eyes of Team India will be on taking
wickets as well as dominating NZ from the first session itself. At the same
time, New Zealand would like to show the same game in the first session as the
team's openers showed in the last session of the second day.
