60 people rescued by SDRF and 5 bodies recovered from rain-hit Bageshwar district.

Districts of Uttarakhand have been facing heavy rain since October 17. State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) has been conducting rescue and search operations to help people stuck in the disaster. 



Due to the heavy rain throughout  the state many people are stuck at various places. The state is currently facing heavy rain which leads to flooded roads, buildings, landslides and overflowing rivers. The SDRF team is conducting it's search and rescue operations via foot and helicopters whichever suits the situation and place. The operations are being monitored by the Inspector General of police, SDRF; Deputy Inspector General of police, SDRF; and General SDRF. The team is constantly saving people across the state, yet, some are still missing and some lost their lives.

According to the report SDRF has rescued 60 people and recovered bodies during the rescue operations. The data referred to the various parts of Bageshwar district of Uttarakhand. The rescue operation is also going on in several districts of Uttarakhand. Another operation is going on in the Sunderdhunga Glacier region, Kafni Glacier and Pindari Glacier.



In Sunderdhunga Glacier 4 people have been rescued while 1 is still missing. Whereas 23 people were rescued in Kafni Glacier and 33 people in Pindari Glacier.

As per the official data total number of deaths in Uttarakhand is recorded 64 and 11 people are yet to be found.
