In the notification of ICC issued in June 2021, it was said that soon the third wave of Covid-19 may come in India. Therefore, the ICC has decided in its meeting that the T20 World Cup 2021 will be started in UAE on 17 October 2021.


Let us tell you that the T20 World Cup 2021 will be organized by the ICC from 17 October 2021. The ICC has said that its final match will be held in the UAE on 14 November 2021. It is expected that this year the T20 tournament will not have to be cancelled.

Due to the cancellation of last year’s T20 world cup, the audience is eagerly waiting for the T20 2021 World Cup. All the preliminary round matches in this year’s T20 tournament will be held in Oman City. All the preparations are almost complete to organize the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup. It is believed that due to the Games being held in the United Arab Emirates, the third wave of Corona should not have any effect on it.

Both these teams could not make their place in the Super 12 due to their performances by Sri Lanka and Bangladesh. Sri Lanka and Bangladesh will now be placed in the group stage of the competition.

T-20 Venues:

The Tournament was first to be held in Australia, but got postponed due to Covid-19.

Then the tournament was slated to be held in India, but the hosts were changed to UAE and Oman.

The tournament will be played in four cities across four stadiums.

Abu Dhabi: Sheikh Zayed cricket stadium

Muscat: Oman International Academy Ground

Group A:  Ireland, Namibia, Netherlands, Srilanka

Group B:  Bangladesh, Oman, Papua New Guinea, Scotland

Super 12:

Group 1: Australia, England, South Africa, West Indies, A1, B2

Group 2: Afghanistan, India, New Zealand, Pakistan, A2, B1
