Commision of Air Quality Management in NCR and adjoining Areas (CAQM) instructed on Tuesday, 16th November, to close all government and private schools, colleges and educational institutions in Delhi-NCR including Gurugram till further notice due to increasing air pollution.
The order reads, "all private and public schools, colleges and educational institutions in NCR will remain closed until the orders, allowing only online mode of education". Later, on Thursday 18th November, Yash Garg, the deputy commissioner, Gurugram instructed all the officials to follow the orders given by the Commission for Air Quality Management in NCR and adjoining areas (CAQM). As said by an official only the industries which are connected with gas facilities can operate full stop use of unauthorised fuel will be forbidden.
