Today is 13th May and today's date is related to the influx of that black law of Indian journalism which suppressed the voice of Indian journalists. Vernacular is actually derived from the Latin word Vernaculus. Which means native or indigenous. In English, Native or Indigenous. And by vernacular language, it means a dialect or language of a particular area in which the people there talk among themselves. Criticism of the British government was published in the newspapers of Hindi, Marathi or other Indian dialects. Which the British could not understand due to linguistic problem. That's why they kept on bringing various laws to ban such newspapers at different times.
